PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

 

Mo Baney, Rutgers-Camden
Sophomore, Catcher
Deptford, NJ/Deptford

Baney earns NJAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after hitting .667 during a week in which she played a prominent role in keeping the Scarlet Raptors unbeaten in NJAC play. In a doubleheader sweep of Rowan, she went a combined 4-for-6 with a home run, double and four RBI. With Camden trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning of game one, she belted a two-run homer to tie the contest that the Raptors eventually won 3-2. Baney currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in hitting with a batting average of .407. 

PITCHER OF THE WEEK  

Mary Gardiner, Kean University
Sophomore, Right-handed Pitcher
Tinton Falls, NJ/Monmouth Regional

Gardiner earns NJAC Pitcher honors after going 3-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in 15.1 innings of work during the week for the Cougars. She opened the week by tossing a two-hit shutout with a career-high seven strikeouts in Kean's 6-0 win over Rutgers-Newark. She wrapped up the week by earning both victories in a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Baruch, allowing a just three hits in the two victories combined. On the season, Gardiner is 8-5 with a 1.92 earned run average.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Christina Lizzi, The College of New Jersey
Freshman, Outfielder
Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo

Lizzi earns NJAC Rookie honors for the third time this season after hitting .429 with two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored in a 3-0 week for TCNJ. In game two of a doubleheader sweep of Richard Stockton, she went 1-for-2 with a double and RBI in the Lions' 6-2 victory. She wrapped up the week by going 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and two runs scored in TCNJ's 6-3 non-conference win at Haverford. Lizzi currently ranks 20th in the NJAC in hitting with a .348 batting average.

ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK  
 

Diana Schraer, William Paterson University
Freshman, Right-handed Pitcher
Paramus, NJ/Paramus

Schraer earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher honors for the fourth time this season and the second consecutive week after going 2-0 with a save and a 0.00 earned run average in 15.0 innings of work during the week for the Pioneers. She first scattered five hits over seven innings to earn the victory in Paterson's 7-0 win over Montclair State. She wrapped up the week by earning both a win and a save in the Pioneers' non-conference doubleheader sweep of Moravian, allowing just four hits in eight innings of work in the two games combined. Schraer currently ranks second among all NJAC pitchers with a 0.46 earned run average.
