PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

 

Katie Lavin, Rowan University
Junior, Outfielder
Sewell, NJ/Washington Township

Lavin earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .833 in a rain-shortened week for the Profs in which they clinched a berth in the 2005 NJAC Championship Tournament with a doubleheader sweep over Richard Stockton. In the two victories, she was a combined 5-for-6 with a double, triple and two RBI. She also stole a base in Rowan's game one 6-1 win which improved the Profs to 23-11 overall on the year. Lavin currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in hitting with a .407 batting average.  

PITCHER OF THE WEEK  

Diana Schraer, William Paterson University
Freshman, Right-handed Pitcher
Paramus, NJ/Paramus

A four-time NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week selection, Schraer earns Pitcher of the Week honors after going 3-0 for the Pioneers while helping her team clinch a berth in the 2005 NJAC Championship Tournament. In two victories over TCNJ and one win over Ramapo, she allowed a combined three earned runs in 17.2 innings of work to improve to 12-1 overall on the season. Schraer currently ranks second in the NJAC among all pitchers with a 0.59 earned run average. 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Kristin Wallace, Rowan University
Freshman, Infielder
Glassboro, NJ/Washington Township

Wallace played a key role in Rowan's doubleheader sweep over Richard Stockton which clinched a 2005 NJAC Championship Tournament berth for the Profs. In the two games combined, she was 4-for-6 with two doubles and three RBI. Wallace is currently tied for the conference lead in doubles with 12 on the season.

ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK  
 

Carolyn McCrea, Montclair State University
Freshman, Right-handed Pitcher
Jefferson Township, NJ/Jefferson

McCrea earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher honors for the second time this season after going 2-1 with a 2.32 earned run average in four games combined for the Red Hawks. She struck out 20 batters while surrendering just nine hits and five earned runs in 15.1 innings of work to improve to 6-2 overall on the season. McCrea currently ranks 14th among all NJAC pitchers with a 1.81 earned run average.
