Morge earns the first NJAC Player of the Week honor
after hitting .583 (7-for-12) with three doubles, two home runs, four RBI,
and four runs scored in the Scarlet Raptors’ four-game trip to the
Virginia Beach Bash. She hit safely in all four contests and opened her
sophomore season by going 3-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBI and a
run scored in a 5-4 loss to Frostburg State. She wrapped up the trip by
going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in a 13-4 loss to York (PA).
Morge had an extra-base hit in all four games including home runs in
contests against Frostburg State and Gwynedd-Mercy. |

Sasko earns the first NJAC Pitcher of the Week honor
after earning a pair of victories on the mound during Rowan’s four-game
trip to the Virginia Beach Bash. In the first start of her junior season,
she pitched a complete-game one-hit shutout while striking out eight in
the Profs’ 3-0 season-opening win over Wilkes. She wrapped up the trip by
surrendering just five hits and one earned run while striking out 12 for
her second win in two days during Rowan’s 3-1 victory over Moravian. On
the season, Sasko is currently 2-0 with a 0.50 earned run average. |

Angeli earns the first NJAC Rookie of the Week honor
after hitting .286 (2-for-7) in the Scarlet Raiders’ four-game trip to the
Virginia Beach Bash. She started all four contests at third base and
notched her first career collegiate hit in Newark’s 12-4 loss to
Christopher Newport. She wrapped up the trip by going 1-for-2 with an RBI
single in the Raiders’ 13-4 loss to York (PA). Defensively, Angeli
committed just one error in 26 chances at her third base position while
recording 17 assists. |

Smyth earns the first NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week
selection after pitching the Cougars to a victory in their first game of
the season. She opened her collegiate career by allowing just one hit and
one unearned run during six innings of work in Kean’s 10-1 win over Bates
at the Virginia Beach Bash. Smyth struck out six and walked just two in
what turned out to be the first of four victories for Kean on the trip.
