Schultz earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after
hitting .526 (10-for-19) with two doubles, nine RBI, and four runs scored
during six contests for the Cougars during their Spring Trip to Florida.
She hit safely in all six games and produced four multiple-hit contests
including a 2-for-3 performance with a double and four RBI in Kean’s 8-4
win over Trinity (TX). She knocked in at least one run in five-of-six
games including a 2-for-3 performance with the game-winning hit in the
sixth inning of the Cougars’ 2-1 win over Western Connecticut to wrap up
their Spring trip with a 13-1 record. Schultz currently ranks third in the
NJAC in RBI with 15 on the season. |

Corica earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors after
going 3-1 with a 0.63 earned run average in five appearances during the
Ospreys’ Spring Trip to Florida. She opened the trip by surrendering just
five hits and one earned run while striking out nine in Stockton’s 4-1 win
over Concordia (MN). One day later, she surrendered just two hits and no
runs while striking out seven in an 8-0 shutout of Edgewood. She wrapped
up the trip by surrendering just five hits and one earned run while
striking out seven in a 9-1 win over Carroll for her third victory in a
four-day span. Corica, who allowed just two earned runs in 22.1 innings
pitched, currently ranks second in the NJAC in earned run average (0.51). |

Zelaya becomes the second different Scarlet Raider to
earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after hitting .423 (11-for-26) with a
double, two home runs, six RBI, and six runs scored in eight contests
played during Rutgers-Newark’s Spring Trip to Florida. She hit safely in
seven-of-eight games and produced four multiple-hit contests including a
2-for-4 performance with a home run and a RBI in a 6-4 loss to Roger
Williams. She also went 2-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored, and a
stolen base in a 8-6 loss to Brockport State. From her outfield position,
she handled 10 total chances without an error while notching an assist.
Zelaya currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in total bases (27). |

Seckinger earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors
after going 1-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in two games pitched for
the Profs during their Spring Trip to Florida. She opened the week by
allowing just two hits and no earned runs while striking out four to earn
the win in Rowan’s 6-2 victory over Fontbonne. She wrapped up the week by
tossing two hitless innings in the Profs’ 8-1 win over SUNY Geneseo.
Seckinger currently leads all NJAC pitchers in games finished (4). |
