Matsutani earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after
hitting .562 (9-for-16) with two triples, five RBI, and seven runs scored
during six contests played for the Gothic Knights. She hit safely in
five-of-six games including a 3-for-3 performance with a triple, two
stolen bases, four RBI, and three runs scored in a 16-0 non-conference
road win at Lehman. She wrapped up the week by going 1-for-3 with a walk
and a run scored in the Gothic Knights’ 6-5 NJAC road victory over
two-time defending league champion Rutgers-Camden. Matsutani currently
leads the NJAC with a .500 batting average. |

Sasko earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the
third time this season after collecting four victories in a span of six
days. She opened the week with a perfect game which featured 11 strikeouts
in a 14-0 non-conference win over Gywnedd-Mercy. Two days later, she
surrendered just five hits and one earned run while striking out nine in a
6-1 non-conference victory over Haverford. Two days later in the first
NJAC contest of her career, she allowed just two earned runs while
striking out nine in a 10-3 league win over Kean. She wrapped up the week
by allowing just three hits for her fourth win of the week, a 4-0
non-conference shutout road victory at Swarthmore. Sasko, who struck out
37 and walked just three in the four victories combined, currently leads
the NJAC in both strikeouts (100) and innings pitched (72.0). |

Wong becomes the second different Roadrunner to earn
NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after hitting .545 (6-for-11) with two
doubles, one RBI, and two runs scored in four contests played for Ramapo.
She produced multiple-hit games in three-of-four contests including a
2-for-4 performance with a RBI and a run scored in a 9-5 non-conference
win over Western Connecticut. In the first NJAC games of her career, she
went a combined 4-for-6 with two doubles and a run scored in the
Roadrunners’ 6-4 and 2-0 NJAC road sweep of TCNJ. Wong currently is the
Ramapo team leader in both RBI and doubles. |

Giordano earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors
after going 1-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in two games pitched for
the Roadrunners on the week. She first surrendered just one hit while
striking out one in 1.2 innings of work in a non-conference game against
Western Connecticut. Two days later in the first NJAC game of her career,
she surrendered just six hits and no runs while striking out six in a
seven-inning complete-game shutout of TCNJ. Giordano currently leads the
NJAC in earned run average with a mark of 0.30. |
