Seavers becomes the second different Lion to earn NJAC
Player of the Week honors after hitting .360 (9-for-25) with three
doubles, three home runs, two stolen bases, seven RBI, and eight runs
scored during six conference games played for TCNJ. She hit safely in all
six games and registered three multiple-hit performances. She opened the
week by going a combined 4-for-7 with a double, two home runs, a stolen
base, six RBI and three runs scored in the Lions’ 5-2 and 5-0 NJAC road
sweep at Kean. One day later, she doubled in each game and scored a
combined four runs in TCNJ’s 16-5 and 4-0 NJAC road sweep at
Rutgers-Camden. She wrapped up the week by going a combined 3-for-9 with a
home run, a RBI, and a run scored in a pair of NJAC one-run losses to
Montclair State. Seavers, who extended her hitting streak to 10 games and
handled 31 chances at shortstop without an error, currently ranks third in
the NJAC in total bases (57). |

Skowronski earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors after
going 2-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in a pair of conference victories
for the Gothic Knights. She opened the week by pitching four innings of
relief while surrendering just one unearned run to garner the victory in a
4-3 NJAC road win at William Paterson which marked NJCU’s first win over
the Pioneers in 19 years. Four days later, she surrendered just three hits
and no walks while striking out five for a complete game shutout in the
Gothic Knights’ 4-0 NJAC win over Rutgers-Newark. Skowronski currently
ranks tied for ninth in the NJAC in victories (7). |

Neurouter earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after
hitting .389 (7-for-17) with a double, three RBI, and one run scored in a
6-0 week for Montclair State which extended their school-record winning
streak to 19 games. She hit safely in all six games and went 3-for-6 with
a double in the Red Hawks’ 5-0 and 13-0 non-conference sweep of Staten
Island. She wrapped up the week by going a combined 2-for-6 with a RBI and
a run scored in MSU’s 4-3 and 4-3 NJAC road doubleheader sweep at TCNJ.
Neurouter, who handled 38 chances defensively without an error while
throwing out two attempted base stealers, currently ranks tied for fourth
in the NJAC in times hit by a pitch (3). |

Seckinger earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors
for the second time this season after going 1-0 with a 0.00 earned run
average in two games pitched for the Profs on the week. She first
surrendered just one hit and one walk while striking out seven in a
complete-game 2-0 NJAC road shutout at Richard Stockton. She wrapped up
the week by surrendering just four hits and one unearned run while
striking out two in three innings of relief during the Profs’ one-run loss
to Ramapo. Seckinger, who improved her record to 4-0 on the season,
currently ranks tied for third in the NJAC in earned run average (0.81). |
