Jimenez becomes the second different Red Hawk to earn
NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .450 (9-for-20) with three
doubles, a home run, five RBI and nine runs scored in a 7-1 week for
Montclair State. After drawing two walks in a 5-4 game one NJAC win over
NJCU, she went 2-for-4 with a double and solo home run in a 9-0 game two
victory. Two days later, she went a combined 2-for-4 with four walks and
four runs scored in an 8-0 and 8-3 non-conference road sweep at Drew. Two
days later, she went a combined 2-for-6 with a double and two runs scored
in a 3-0 and 5-2 NJAC doubleheader sweep of Kean. She wrapped up the week
by going a combined 5-for-6 with a double, a RBI, and a run scored in a
non-conference doubleheader split with Manhattanville. Jimenez, who
recorded a .750 slugging percentage and a .633 on-base percentage for the
week, currently is hitting .386 with six home runs and 32 RBI on the
season. |

Sasko earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the
fourth time this season after going 3-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in
three games pitched for the Profs on the week. She first surrendered just
four hits and no runs while striking out five for the victory in Rowan’s
6-0 NJAC game one shutout of TCNJ. In the second game of the doubleheader,
she notched the victory in relief by allowing just two hits and one walk
in three innings of work in the Rowan’s 11-2 eight-inning game two win
over TCNJ. She wrapped up the week by surrendering just three hits and one
walk in seven innings of work while striking out six for a 4-0 NJAC road
win at Rutgers-Newark which marked her second NJAC complete-game shutout
in a five-day span. Overall on the season, Sasko is 17-2 with a 0.89
earned run average. |

Wong earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the
second time this season after hitting .529 (9-for-17) with two doubles,
four RBI, and five runs scored in a 6-0 week of play for the Roadrunners.
She opened the week by going a combined 5-for-6 with two doubles, one RBI,
and two runs scored in Ramapo’s 9-1 and 8-0 NJAC doubleheader sweep of
Rutgers-Newark. Two days later, she went a combined 4-for-6 with three RBI
and three runs scored in the Roadrunners’ 3-0 and 10-2 non-conference
doubleheader sweep of Albright. Overall on the season, Wong is hitting
.304 with seven doubles and 21 RBI. |

Giordano earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors
for the second time this season after going 2-0 with a 0.00 earned run
average in two games pitched for the Roadrunners. She first surrendered
just three hits, no walks, and no runs in five innings while striking out
four to earn the win in the Roadrunners’ 8-0 NJAC victory over
Rutgers-Newark. She wrapped up the week by surrendering just two hits, one
walk, and no runs while striking out three for her second complete-game
shutout victory of the week in a 6-0 NJAC win over Richard Stockton. On
the season, Giordano is 7-1 with a 1.26 earned run average. |
