Cintron earns NJAC Player of the Week honors for the
third consecutive week after averaging 5.79 kills, 3.83 digs, and 1.21
blocks per game during six matches for the Gothic Knights. After notching
a double-double 16 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 NJAC win over Montclair
State, she tallied 14 kills and six digs in just two games of the Knights’
3-0 non-conference road win at Baruch. One night later at the Salisbury
Invitational, she recorded a double-double 27 kills and 12 digs in a 3-2
loss to Johns Hopkins, before tallying a double-double 31 kills and 19
digs in a 3-2 non-conference win over league-rival Richard Stockton. She
wrapped up the week by being named to the Salisbury Invitational
All-Tournament Team following a double-double 24-kill and 23-dig
performance in a 3-2 loss to host Salisbury, followed by a double-double
27 kills and 21 digs in a 3-1 loss to Gettysburg. Cintron is one of only
four players in the history of NCAA Division III to record 2,500 career
kills. |

Young earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after
leading the Profs to a pair of NJAC victories during the week. She first tallied eight
kills and eight digs in Rowan’s first conference win of the season, a 3-0
victory over Rutgers-Newark. Just two days later, she notched a
triple-double 25 kills, 10 assists, and 27 digs in Rowan’s 3-2 NJAC
come-from-behind win at William Paterson. Young has
recorded 86 kills, 82 assists, 17 service aces, and 94 digs on the season
for the Profs. |
