The 2003-04 NJAC Rookie of the
Year, Machin earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after leading the Red
Hawks to a third place finish in the Hilton-Keystone Classic. She first
tallied 23 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field while adding four
rebounds in Montclair's 77-65 loss to Chowan. She wrapped up the week by
notching 10 points and three rebounds in just 16 minutes of action during
the Red Hawks' 71-38 defeat of Maine-Ft. Kent. In the two tournament
contests combined, she shot 60 percent from the field while helping the
Red Hawks improve to 6-4 overall on the season. Machin currently ranks
second in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 15.6 points per game.

Cooper
earns NJAC Rookie honors for the third time this season after averaging
19.0 points and 21.0 rebound per game in a 1-1 week for the Cougars. She
first tallied a double-double 19 points and 20 rebounds in an 80-62
non-conference win over Hunter. She wrapped up the week by notching a
double-double 19 points and 22 rebounds in the Cougars' 84-76 loss to No.
12 Scranton. The NJAC leader in rebounding with an average of 18.1 boards
per game, Cooper has registered 20 or more rebounds in her last five
consecutive games. |
