Klimowicz earns the first NJAC Women’s Basketball
Player of the Week selection after averaging a double-double 19.3 points
and 11.7 rebounds during TCNJ’s three contests at the Marymount (VA)
Tip-Off Classic. She opened her junior season by notching a double-double
23 points and 13 rebounds, while adding four blocks in the Lions’
season-opening 69-60 win over King’s. One night later, she posted 22
points and eight rebounds in a 66-53 victory over Denison. She wrapped up
the week by posting a double-double 13 points and 14 rebounds, while
adding seven blocks in the Lions’ third game in three days, a 60-48 loss
to host Marymount. She notched career highs in points and rebounds during
the three contests earned All-Tournament honors for her play at Marymount.
Klimowicz currently leads the NJAC in both scoring (19.3 per game) and
blocked shots (4.33 per game). |

Fitzgerald earns the first NJAC Women’s Basketball
Rookie of the Week honor after averaging a double-double 19.0 points and
10.0 rebounds during a pair of contests at the Stevens Tip-Off Tournament.
She opened her collegiate career by notching 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting
from the field, while adding six rebounds and four assists in NJCU’s
season-opening 79-56 first round loss to St. Lawrence. She wrapped up the
tournament by notching a double-double 16 points and 14 rebounds, while
adding three assists and two steals in the Gothic Knights’ 67-58
consolation game victory over North Carolina Wesleyan. Fitzgerald
currently ranks second in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 19.0
points per game. |
