Robinson earns NJAC Women’s Basketball Player of the
Week honors after averaging a double-double 10.0 points and a
tournament-record 19.5 rebounds per game in a pair of contests for the
Gothic Knights at Marietta College’s 23rd Annual Jim Meagle Turkey Shoot
Tournament. She opened tournament play by tallying nine pints and a
career-high 20 rebounds in NJCU’s opening round defeat to Denison (OH).
She wrapped up the week by claiming All-Tournament honors following a
double-double 10-point and 19-rebound performance in a 49-43 consolation
game loss to host Marietta. Her average of 19.5 rebounds per game in the
two contests broke a Marietta Tournament record which had stood since
1987. Robinson currently leads the NJAC in rebounding with an average of
16.0 boards per game. |

Fitzgerald earns NJAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the
Week honors for the second consecutive week after averaging 14.0 points
and 8.5 rebounds per game during two contests at Marietta College’s 23rd
Annual Jim Meagle Turkey Shoot Tournament. She first tallied a
double-double 19 points and 11 rebounds, while adding five assists and
four blocks in an opening round defeat to Denison (OH). She wrapped up the
tournament by notching nine points and six rebounds in a 49-43 consolation
game loss to host Marietta. Fitzgerald currently ranks third in the NJAC
in scoring with an average of 16.5 points per game. |
