Pellichero earns NJAC Women’s Basketball Player of the
Week honors after averaging 17.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in a
pair of victories during the week for the Pioneers. She first tallied 10
points, two rebounds, and two assists in WPU’s 83-74 non-conference
victory over FDU-Florham. Three days later, she opened conference play by
registering 25 points, four rebounds, and three assists in an 82-79 road
win at Kean in a rematch of last season’s NJAC Championship Game. In the
win over the previously unbeaten Cougars, she tallied William Paterson’s
final 11 points on the game and finished the contest shooting 8-of-19 from
the field and 6-of-11 from three-point range. Pellichero currently leads
the NJAC in three-point field goals made per game (3.00). |

Blackwell earns NJAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the
Week honors after helping to lead the Scarlet Raptors to a victory in
their first conference contest of the year. In the first NJAC game of her
career, she tallied a double-double 15 points and 11 rebounds in Camden’s
66-56 road win at Ramapo. She added one block and two steals in the
victory in which she shot 6-of-11 from the field. Blackwell, who has
notched three double-doubles in the first seven games of her collegiate
career, currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in rebounding with an average of
9.4 boards per game. |
