William Paterson University junior
guard Meg Renna (West Milford HS /West Milford, NJ) is the 1999-2000 New
Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Year. The NJAC’s second leading scorer, Renna
averaged 16.4 ppg and 4.9 apg.
Joining Renna on the first team are teammate Dana Feltz, Kristi McCullough (Rowan University), Jen Hutchinson (The College of New Jersey) and Tara Larkin (Ramapo College).
Richard Stockton College guard Kelli
Bakanowsky (Eastern Regional HS /Gibbsboro, NJ) is this year’s Rookie of
the Year. Teammate Amanda Petronaci
(James Caldwell HS/Caldwell, NJ), a senior guard, is the Defensive Player
of the Year.
NJAC Coach of the Year honors went
to Richard Stockton’s Joe Fussner, whose team claimed their first-ever
New Jersey Athletic Conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division
III tournament.
