McDonough earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week
honors after tallying 11 points in a pair of non-conference victories
during TCNJ’s Adidas Classic. She opened the week by notching three goals
and an assist for seven total points in the Lions’ 7-0 win over Washington
& Jefferson. She wrapped up the tournament by registering a goal and two
assists for four points in TCNJ’s 5-0 blanking of No. 5 ranked Amherst.
McDonough currently is tied for the conference lead in total assists (4).

Weer earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors
after collecting a combined 10 saves while logging 214 minutes in goal
during three shutout victories for the Scarlet Raiders. In a 9-0 shutout
of CCNY, she stopped the only shot that she faced and later notched a goal
and an assist offensively in the second half. In the opening round of the
Scarlet Raider Soccer Classic, she collected five saves in a 7-0 shutout
of Staten Island. She wrapped up the tournament by collecting four saves
in 79 minutes of Newark’s 9-0 championship match victory over Medgar
Evers. With a 0.00 goals against average, Weer is one of three NJAC
goalkeepers who have not surrendered a goal on the season. |

Albuja earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after
sparking the Gothic Knights to their first 2-0 start in the school
history. She opened her collegiate career by tallying four goals for eight
points in NJCU’s season-opening 6-0 road victory at New York Maritime. She
wrapped up the week by tallying three goals in the Gothic Knights’ 7-0
road win at St. Elizabeth. In the Maritime victory, she established a
school-record for the fastest three consecutive goals by the same player
with all three scores occurring in a span of just under four minutes.
Albuja currently leads the NJAC in both points (14) and goals (7). |
