OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jamie Kunkel, The College of New Jersey
Junior, Forward
Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape

Kunkel earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after registering five points in TCNJ’s 3-1 NJAC Championship Game victory over third-seeded Richard Stockton. In the title contest, she scored two goals, including the game-winner, while adding an assist to earn the Lions’ their third consecutive NJAC crown and their 12th league title since 1994. As champions of the NJAC, TCNJ will host Farmingdale State in the first round of the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament on November 10. Kunkel currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in points with 36 on the season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Clarke becomes the second different Lion to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after propelling TCNJ to the 2007 NJAC Championship with a pair of tournament wins. In the Lions’ semifinal contest against fourth-seeded Montclair State, she collected three saves for a 1-0 shutout victory. In the NJAC Championship Game, she collected two saves while surrendering just one goal in a 3-1 victory over third-seeded Richard Stockton. ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Amanda Altman, Richard Stockton College

Beachwood, NJ/Toms River South

Altman earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after helping the Ospreys advance to the 2007 NJAC Championship Game.
