Rubinetti earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after
posting 5-0 records at both first singles and first doubles in five team
victories for the Scarlet Raiders. On Monday, she notched a 6-2, 6-2 win
at first singles and teamed with Monica Iturralde for an 8-1 win at first
doubles in a 9-0 victory over FDU-Florham. On Wednesday, she produced a
6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and teamed with Iturralde for an 8-2 win at
first doubles in a 9-0 NJAC victory over William Paterson. On Friday, she
posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and teamed with Fatima Gramatica
for an 8-0 win at first doubles in a 9-0 win over New York City Tech. On
Saturday, she was awarded a default victory at first singles and teamed
with Gramatica for an 8-0 win at first doubles in a 9-0 victory over
Lehman. On Sunday, she posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at first singles and teamed
with Iturralde for an 8-6 win at first doubles in Newark’s 5-4 NJAC
victory over Ramapo. On the season, Rubinetti has produced a 7-4 record in
singles play and an 8-4 mark in doubles competition. |

Berg earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the third
consecutive week after helping the Lions capture their 25th consecutive
NJAC Championship while extending their NJAC winning-streak to 121
straight matches with a pair of league wins. She first tallied a 6-0, 6-0
win at first singles and teamed with Stefanie Haar for an 8-0 win at
second doubles in a 9-0 victory over William Paterson. Just four hours
later, she produced a 6-2, 6-0 win at second singles and teamed with Haar
for an 8-1 win at second doubles in a 9-0 victory over Ramapo. Berg has
produced overall records of 11-3 in singles play and 11-2 in doubles
competition during the fall season. |
