TCNJ MEN AND WOMEN REPEAT AS NJAC CHAMPIONS

Titusville, NJ---The 2001 New Jersey Athletic Conference men’s and women’s cross country championships, which was held at Washington Crossing State Park on Sat., October 27, saw TCNJ’s men’s team pick up their eight straight championship crown and the school’s 13th title overall. The Lion women’s team also won their race, capturing the NJAC title for the seventh straight year and the 18th time in school history.

Winning the men’s individual crown for the second straight year was TCNJ’s junior Eamon O’Brien (Paramus, NJ/Paramus) in a time of 25:51, while TCNJ’s sophomore Beth Vesey (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) captured the women’s title in 18:45, after finishing in seventh place a year ago.
